In December 2024, the Fengal Cyclone devastated the Irular tribal community in Anjancheri, Villupuram, leaving 19 families homeless. In response, BTG Trust raised ₹33,170 to provide urgent relief. Working with local leaders, the team distributed essential household items like utensils and groceries, helping families begin their recovery and restore daily life.
HOPE IN ACTION – OPERATION RELIEF
On December 13, 2024, BTG Trust, in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Coimbatore Smart City, responded to a severe landslide affecting 200 families in Thiruvannamalai. We provided essential survival kits and support to 485 beneficiaries across multiple villages. Working closely with local leaders, we helped the community recover, rebuild, and empower families for long-term resilience.
LEARNING LADDERS – Evening Tuition Center
On 11th December 2024, BTG Trust, with sponsorship from VNA Jewellers, launched the Learning Ladders project in Kandivezhi (near Anaikatti) to support the education and development of tribal children. The project transformed a local community hall into an Evening Tuition and Career Development Centre, benefiting 25 students. It provided stationery kits, healthy snacks, and nutritional supplements to enhance learning and well-being. Stipends were also given to local staff, creating employment opportunities and strengthening community involvement.
Mrs. SATHYA -Transformation Journey
28 YEARS Old OFFICE HELPER Sathya, a 28-year-old working as office helper, shared her positive experience after completing the Basic to Advanced Mehendi class at BTG Trust. She expressed how the skills gained from the class have significantly enhanced her creativity and empowered her to start her own Mehendi business.Sathya now takes orders from people nearby and is earning income by doing what she loves. She mentioned that the support and guidance provided by BTG Trust were invaluable in helping her turn her passion into a small business. Sathya is deeply thankful for the opportunity and is excited to continue growing her Mehendi business. She looks forward to expanding her skills and serving more clients in the future.
AWARENESS GENERATION – National Hand washing Day 2024
On December 5, 2024, BTG Trust conducted an awareness program at Corporation Middle School, Chinna Mettupalayam, benefiting 250 students. Marking National Handwashing Day, the initiative aimed to educate and empower students on the importance of hand hygiene. The program combined engaging sessions with practical demonstrations to make learning impactful and encourage lifelong hygiene habits. Sanitary materials such as hand sanitizers and handwash liquids were also distributed to ensure continued access to hygiene resources within the school.
BLOSSOM – Empowering Kondanur Pudur Through Education and Development
On 30th November 2024, BTG Trust launched the Blossom initiative in Kondanur Pudur to empower underprivileged communities through education and skill development. The project involved renovating an old building into a vibrant Career Development Centre and Evening Tuition Centre. Serving 350 community members, the centre now offers academic support, career guidance, and nutritional supplements. By fostering learning, local involvement, and access to resources, the initiative aims to create lasting social and economic upliftment for the Kondanur Pudur community.
BLOSSOM – Uplifting the Kandivazhi Community Through Education and Development
On 29th November 2024, BTG Trust launched the Blossom initiative in Kandivazhi to support underprivileged communities through education and skill-building. The project transformed a neglected building into a vibrant Career Development Centre and Evening Tuition Centre, benefiting 120 community members. The centre now serves as a hub for academic support, career guidance, and nutritional care. By fostering learning and involving local residents in the process, the initiative promotes long-term social and economic upliftment.

On 20th November 2024, BTG Trust installed a sanitary napkin vending machine at Venkittapuram Corporation P. Kamalanathan Memorial Higher Secondary School, benefiting over 269 Girl students. This initiative addresses the lack of access to menstrual hygiene products, enabling girls to manage their menstrual health with dignity and confidence. By reducing absenteeism and breaking the stigma around menstruation, the project fosters a supportive and inclusive school environment while promoting lifelong awareness of menstrual hygiene.
