LITERACY DAY 2025
The BTG Trust to commemorate Literacy Day 2025 through a specialized “Signature Campaign” conducted at the Marudhangarai Melur Tribal Village. Recognizing that basic literacy is the bedrock of personal empowerment and socio-economic progress, this campaign was strategically designed to impart a fundamental and practical literacy skill: the ability to confidently write one’s own signature. The effort focused on a crucial demographic—both school-going children and the community’s elders—ensuring that the benefits of literacy were promoted across all generations within the tribal settlement. The campaign aimed not only to educate but to instil a sense of individual identity and self-reliance, directly linking literacy to official recognition and civic participation.
CARE FOR ALL – Medical Camp 4
BTG Trust successfully organized Medical Camp – 4 at Government Primary School, Chinnathadagam in December 2023. This initiative aimed to provide accessible and cost-effective healthcare services to underserved communities. With KMCH Hospital, Coimbatore as the medical partner, the camp served around 150 beneficiaries. The camp focused on preventive care, diagnostic tests, and general health screenings. Chinnathadagam, a panchayat with over 5000 people, lacks easy access to healthcare facilities. Many residents are daily wage workers from underprivileged and tribal backgrounds. The camp helped bridge the healthcare gap caused by poor transport and medical access. BTG’s effort ensured that medical services reached those who need them most. This intervention promoted community health and early detection of health issues. It reflects our commitment to holistic well-being and inclusive development.
