EDUPLAY – Sports Day

BTG Trust organized the EDUPLAY Sports Day on 10th February 2023 at Kalapatti Government Higher Secondary School, engaging 902 students in a vibrant celebration of physical well-being, teamwork, and holistic development. The event emphasized the importance of sports as a vital component of education. Students actively took part in various activities, including running races, kabaddi, shot put, long jump, chess, and carrom—demonstrating both physical agility and mental focus. Winners received medals, books, and certificates, fostering a sense of accomplishment and encouraging continued participation. This initiative reflects BTG Trust’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded growth through education and sport.

Community Development

AWARENESS GENERATION – Tobacco Awareness Campaign

BTG Trust conducted a tobacco awareness campaign at Kovai Kalaimagal on February 5, 2023, benefiting 100 participants. The programme focused on educating the community about the harmful effects of tobacco consumption using creative communication. A powerful mime performance illustrated the struggles of tobacco addiction, its health consequences, and its impact on families. The act ended with a hopeful message of recovery and change. An interactive session followed, where participants engaged in discussions and shared their thoughts on quitting tobacco. Informative pamphlets were distributed, and feedback was collected to measure the campaign’s impact.

Community Development

AWARENESS GENERATION – Road Safety Awareness Campaign

On January 5, 2023, BTG Trust organized a Road Safety Awareness Campaign at Lakshmi Mills Signal, Coimbatore, as part of Road Safety Week 2023. The initiative aimed to educate the general public on critical traffic laws and responsible commuting habits. Taking place in a high-traffic area during peak hours, the campaign effectively reached a wide range of commuters, including drivers, pedestrians, and two-wheeler riders. Key messages focused on the importance of wearing helmets, following speed limits, and avoiding mobile phone use while driving. The campaign also encouraged individuals to take ownership of their actions on the road and fostered a sense of community responsibility toward creating safer streets. Through engaging and informative interactions, the event reinforced BTG Trust’s commitment to public safety and behavioral change.

AWARENESS GENERATION – Community Cleaning Drive – Marudamalai

On January 8, 2023, as part of Covai Vizha celebrations, the “Cleaning Drive” was conducted at Marudamalai by BTG Trust in association with Hope Organisation. This initiative aimed to foster environmental responsibility and active community participation in maintaining public spaces. Volunteers engaged visitors with awareness campaigns, highlighting the importance of cleanliness and sustainable waste management. Litter, including plastic and other non-biodegradable materials, was collected and segregated for proper disposal. To ensure long-term impact, additional dustbins were installed, and a post-clean-up session gathered feedback and ideas for sustaining cleanliness in the area. The drive reflected a shared commitment to a cleaner, greener Coimbatore.

HER TECH JOURNEY – Computer Class

On December 30, 2022, BTG Trust conducted an Advanced PowerPoint Workshop under the Her Tech Journey initiative at SNR College. The session was designed to enhance the presentation skills of 60 staff participants, empowering them with advanced technical knowledge. The workshop offered hands-on training in using animations, transitions, design strategies, and data visualization tools in Microsoft PowerPoint. Participants learned to craft visually engaging and professional presentations suited for academic and workplace contexts. The session focused on organizing content effectively and applying creative design principles. This initiative aimed to boost confidence and digital fluency among educators and professionals. It also prepared them to navigate tech-driven environments with ease. The training supported personal development and improved communication in both teaching and administrative roles. BTG Trust continues to bridge the digital skill gap through targeted programs like Her Tech Journey.

HER TECH JOURNEY – Computer Class

HerTech Journey is a flagship initiative by BTG Trust, launched on November 12, 2022, to empower educators, students, and professionals with essential digital skills. The program focuses on delivering high-impact, hands-on workshops that build proficiency in tools like Microsoft PowerPoint, emphasizing advanced features such as animations, transitions, data visualization, and multimedia integration. With 35 beneficiaries participating in the inaugural session, the initiative successfully equipped individuals with the ability to create polished, engaging presentations. HerTech Journey supports academic excellence and career readiness while fostering confidence, innovation, and lifelong learning in a tech-driven world.

HerTech Journey reflects BTG Trust’s commitment to digital empowerment, continuous learning, and career readiness. Through this program, BTG Trust continues to support communities by building relevant and future-focused skills.

Community Development

FOUNDER BIRTHDAY – Celebration

On November 18, 2022, BTG Trust celebrated the birthday of its esteemed founder, Mr. Bobby, with a meaningful community outreach event at the United Nations Orphanage Home, sponsored by Exterro. The celebration focused on compassion, care, and social responsibility, bringing joy to 100 elderly individuals through a thoughtfully organized lunch service. Volunteers ensured meals were nutritious and tailored to the participants’ needs, while light entertainment and engaging interactions created a warm, uplifting atmosphere. The event included heartfelt speeches and expressions of gratitude, highlighting the founder’s vision of giving back to society. BTG Trust extends sincere thanks to Exterro and the Orphanage Home team for their support in making this initiative impactful and memorable.

Healthcare

CARE FOR ALL – Medical Camp – 2

On October 21, 2022, BTG Trust conducted a baseline health survey in 24 Veerapandi village to assess the prevailing health conditions and medical awareness among residents. Using a structured questionnaire, the study revealed that a significant portion of the population suffers from skin diseases, allergies, and respiratory issues, with many not receiving adequate treatment. Based on the findings—where 47% requested general check-ups, 21% opted for dust allergy support, and 3.4% for eye check-ups—the Foundation planned a targeted medical camp focused on skin, lung, and general health care. This initiative reflects BTG Trust’s ongoing commitment to community health and wellbeing.

INDEPENDENCE DAY – Celebration & Awareness

On August 11, 2022, BTG Trust organized an Independence Day Awareness Celebration at NAWA Orphanage Home, aiming to promote inclusion, joy, and patriotic spirit among children and staff. The event featured vibrant decorations, engaging games, cultural performances, and a festive lunch that made the day memorable for everyone involved. Children actively participated in activities like musical chairs, relay races, patriotic songs, dances, and a quiz on India’s history. Volunteers added energy and warmth, fostering emotional connections and encouraging learning through storytelling and interaction. Thoughtful gifts, including tricolor-themed stationery, were distributed to the children as tokens of appreciation and national pride. The celebration reflected BTG Trust’s commitment to community engagement, education, and meaningful inclusion.
