On 29th January 2025, BTG Trust, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Education Department, implemented its HopeInAction – SafeDays initiative at MSST Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Vadavalli.A sanitary napkin vending machine was installed, benefiting 416 girl students with improved access to menstrual hygiene products.Awareness sessions were also conducted to educate students on safe menstrual practices and reduce stigma.This initiative promotes health, confidence, and attendance among adolescent girls, creating a supportive school environment.BTG Trust continues to lead sustainable menstrual health efforts through education and strategic partnerships.
HOPE IN ACTION – SAFE DAYS
BTG Trust, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Education Department, implemented its menstrual hygiene initiative #SafeDays at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Thondamuthur, on 29.01.2025.A sanitary napkin vending machine was installed, directly benefiting 704 girl students by ensuring convenient and private access to menstrual products.Comprehensive awareness sessions were conducted to educate students on safe menstrual hygiene practices and break prevailing taboos.The initiative has contributed to improved school attendance, enhanced confidence among students, and a healthier learning environment.By addressing both accessibility and awareness, this project promotes dignity, empowerment, and long-term well-being for adolescent girls.HopeInAction – SafeDays stands as a model for sustainable menstrual health initiatives in schools.
