BTG Trust marked Children’s Day 2024 with a unique Fingerprint Awareness Campaign at Race Course, Coimbatore, aimed at promoting child safety and community responsibility. The event engaged over 500 participants, highlighting the importance of creating a secure environment for every child. A central feature of the campaign was the Fingerprint Pledge Wall, where individuals placed colorful fingerprints as a symbolic commitment to protecting children. Informational pamphlets on child safety and BTG Trust’s welfare initiatives were distributed, while volunteers facilitated interactive sessions on online safety, open communication, and recognizing signs of abuse. Children enjoyed storytelling sessions, while parents and guardians actively participated in Q&A discussions. The event reinforced collective awareness, community action, and BTG Trust’s mission to safeguard childhood.
CARE FOR ALL – Medical Camp-3
On 2nd June 2023, BTG Trust conducted the Care for All medical camp at Vellanaipatti, Coimbatore, in collaboration with Kumaran Medical. The initiative benefited 54 individuals, providing free medical consultations, medicines, and health awareness to address the community’s pressing healthcare needs. A team of doctors specializing in general medicine, paediatrics, and gynaecology offered personalized consultations. The camp also included health awareness sessions on nutrition, hygiene, and lifestyle disease management, supported by visual learning tools. Free medicines were distributed as per doctors’ prescriptions, and mental health counselling was made available to address emotional well-being. The event highlighted BTG Trust’s commitment to accessible healthcare and holistic community support, particularly in underserved rural areas.
AWARENESS GENERATION – Community Cleaning Drive – Marudamalai
On January 8, 2023, as part of Covai Vizha celebrations, the “Cleaning Drive” was conducted at Marudamalai by BTG Trust in association with Hope Organisation. This initiative aimed to foster environmental responsibility and active community participation in maintaining public spaces. Volunteers engaged visitors with awareness campaigns, highlighting the importance of cleanliness and sustainable waste management. Litter, including plastic and other non-biodegradable materials, was collected and segregated for proper disposal. To ensure long-term impact, additional dustbins were installed, and a post-clean-up session gathered feedback and ideas for sustaining cleanliness in the area. The drive reflected a shared commitment to a cleaner, greener Coimbatore.
