World Nature Conservation Day – “Walk for Nature”
On the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day, the BTG Trust successfully organized the “Walk for Nature”, a women’s awareness walk, along with the Grand Finale of the “Happy Periods – ISDO” Mission-8 at Nirmala College for Women, Coimbatore. The event was conducted under the theme “Menstrual Pride and Hygiene Management – Together for a Period-Friendly World”, highlighting the connection between environmental conservation and menstrual health awareness.
- To promote awareness on nature conservation and encourage environmentally responsible practices.
- To educate women and students about menstrual hygiene management and menstrual dignity.
- To encourage the reduction of plastic usage, especially single-use plastics, for a healthier environment.
- To inspire participants to become ambassadors for environmental protection and menstrual health awareness within their communities.
- To conclude the statewide Mission-8 campaign by reinforcing its message of sustainable health and social responsibility.
