Refund and Returns Policy

BTG Trust has developed a donation refund policy to ensure fair and transparent processing of requests for refund of donations, especially as digital payments become more frequent. BTG Trust expects that all donors will exercise due care and diligence while making donations. However, we also recognize that a donation may be made in error or that donors may change their mind.

BTG Trust will examine each request for a refund and endeavor to process it. We may request further information or documents, and donors are expected to cooperate in this regard. The decision to refund a donation lies entirely with the BTG Trust management.

Please note, BTG Trust is under no obligation to make refunds and may, at its discretion, decline any request—particularly if a tax exemption certificate has already been issued.

Requesting a Refund

If you would like your donation to BTG Trust to be refunded, you must send a written request via email or postal mail. Your request must reach us within three (3) days from the date on which the donation was made, which could be:

  • The date you made the donation online, electronically, or through other means, OR
  • The date you handed over the cheque/demand draft to BTG Trust or its authorized representative, OR
  • The date you dispatched the cheque/demand draft to BTG Trust.

The written request must clearly state the reason for requesting a refund and must include the following donation details:

  • Date of donation
  • Donation amount
  • If made by cheque/draft: Cheque/Draft number
  • If made by credit card: Last 4 digits of the Credit Card
  • If made online: Transaction/Reference Number and/or Donation ID
